  May 17, 2012 - With an earthy, tart cherry, stone, floral, herb and spicy nose, this medium bodied wine seems to have dropped some of its fruit since it was last tasted. This has taken on a more lean, bright personality since it was last tasted. Drink up.

  June 25, 2011 - Wow, awesome nose of dried cranberries, floral aromas, but just a hint of bacon fat this time. Silky palate, crunchy red fruits, sous bois, long, some structure here with an acidic backbone. I'd say this is mature, some fine tannins on the back end, juicy finish. Really nice! For me, the best of Gaillard's 1999 Cote-Rotie's. Not quite as vibrant as previous bottle.

  July 30, 2009 - Bacon fat aroma hits you right away, raspberries and smokey nose. Elegant, rich and long, silky, bacon and black raspberry fruit, some sage on the palate. Tannins are barely noticeable, seems mature. Textbook Cote-Rotie and just a lovely wine.
