February 11, 2019 - Interesting bottle. Light fruits and earthy leather on the nose. Very acidic on the palate. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with the type, but I feel like this doesn't quite add up to the sum of its parts.

May 1, 2017 - Wine tasting in Greece; 4/28/2017-5/6/2017 (Athens, Santorini and Porto Heli): Tasting visit to Estate Argyros after trying this the prior night at a restaurant in Santorini. 90% Mandilaria and 10% Mavrogano aged for 6 months in French oak. Fruity, flabby nose - at first sniff I suspect I am not going to like this. On the palate this is fruity and soft with no backbone - pretty tough to get through a glass. I would prefer to drink water or better yet pour me some more Assyrtiko. The group is unanimous in our dislike for this wine.

March 12, 2017 - Expressive nose with morello cherry, raspberry, light spice, earthy and mineral. Light to medium body with high acidity, grippy, crushed cherries and raspberries, nice earthiness, nice salinity towards the end. Quite long.

    July 24, 2016 - 90% Mandilaria, 10% Mavrotragano.

Youthful, translucent raspberry color with slightly purple hue. Enticing, aromatic nose with aromas of freshly picked, tart red berries, sweet raspberries, some mineral salinity, a little smoke, a touch of spicy wood and a whiff of rose petals. Very light and refreshing palate with good acidic zip and moderate, yet surprisingly grippy, grainy tannins. Youthful, juicy flavors of tart, dark-skinned berries, raspberry, some peppery spice and a hint of rose florals. Long and grippy finish with pronounced tannic astringency, raspberry juice, sour cherry, some lingonberry, a little rosewater and a hint of pepper spice.

Very interesting, well-structured and balanced effort; stylistically more straightforward and fun than anything serious and complex, but good stuff nevertheless. Very unlike your normal red wine with atypically light body, almost piercing acidity and such grippy tannins you really don't normally see in wines as light as this (if you don't take some lighter Nebbiolos into account). Somewhat worth the 24€ in a restaurant in Fira, but in a shop I wouldn't pay much more than 10€ for this.
