July 15, 2010 - This wine is singing. Beautiful expression of Anderson Valley fruit and this venerable vineyard - a bright, spicy cherry core is the star here, with raspberry, cinnamon, wet soil, and eucalyptus flavors playing a supporting role. Rich, full bodied and intense, with a vibrant acidity. From the inaugural vintage for this winery. Drink up.

July 27, 2009 - A dark, woodsy wine displaying black raspberry, clove, mushroom, black tea and a hint of bitter chocolate. A broad palate leading to a bright, spicy, red-fruited finish. This opened nicely over a couple of hours with the red fruit and christmas spice moving to the fore. Needs another 2-3 years before hitting its prime.

May 21, 2008 - Pleasing aromas of precise raspberry, smoke, bay leaf, perfume, spice. However, this bottle was completely flat on the palate through the finish, with simple fruit and no spice or structure. Nothing like the bottle from a year ago. An “off” bottle based on a recent (7/09) taste.
