January 5, 2022 - rich petrol and weighty ripe stone fruit on the nose. The palate has a juice dripping ripe yellow peach that envelopes the mouth. It doesn't quite have the acid backbone to sharpen that ripeness into focus and that weight really starts to get heavy. A fine wine but I think (at least this bottle) may have been a bit better a handful of years ago (or more)

October 22, 2021 - Bought 10b for 16+/b (incl all fees, taxes, etc) from Chicago Wine Co auction 28 years ago; getting near the last bottle. Orange-gold; fragrant with some petrol, some honey, some nuttiness that follow on the palate, very good mouthfeel; good persistence. Delicious and a tribute to this wine's ageworthiness. Expect it can go for years longer if well cellared. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. Quality, price, age: Outstanding-.

February 21, 2020 - Bright tulip color. Intense varnishy petrol initially that receded to show stone fruit. Medium weight, off dry, ripe yellow peach, fine minerality, and relatively low acidity. In fine form and excellent overall if not scintillating.

January 3, 2020 - Deep yellow. Some petrol and apple jelly. Medium weight, off dry. Clear fruit, adequate acidity, light slate. One cannot fault the soundness and vigor of this wine, but I don't think it has the acidity and cut to match the most thrilling examples of this cuvée.
