    November 8, 2022 - 4th. Title from a 6 pack, last drank a bottle about 10 mos ago.
Nice CF overall, showing a deep purple color, with aromas of plum skin, wet wood, freshly tilled soil, and green peppers. On the palate, plums and cassis, espresso grounds, clove, and mint. The tannins are fleshing out nicely, with firm acidity, great structure, and a soil-driven, earthy finish. Drink through 2024.

A nice CF, with straightforward appeal and great with bar food this evening.
Red cherry, plum skin, a faint funkiness that quickly dissipates buts lends interest.
Tannins and body are light and easy, with a medium length finish. Drink through 2023 or so.

August 13, 2021 - Drank over three days. It has evolved since my last bottle almost two years ago. There are nice firm blueberry/sweet dark cherry/plum flavors but also a quite prominent pyrazine presence. Then there is a rather spicy/toasty influence which I first assumed comes from oak, but after learning this wine sees no oak it’s confusing me a bit. There’s some sous-bois and even a light floral note on the finish. Tannins are still quite grippy, I would almost say slightly aggressive. Medium- medium plus body.

Softer tannins and more accessible fruit and floral notes on day two and three.

Overall it’s more open than the 2014, and has evolved a bit in the last 2 years, but is still mostly about firm structure. Powerful style for a Chinon. I still believe it’s too soon to enjoy fully. Nice potential to evolve into something more elegant (91p?).

    May 6, 2021 - 2nd of 6 bottles, last consumed 15 months ago.
A bright and fun Cab Franc, the wine has improved a bit from it's straightforward nature last year.
Red apple, raspberry, plum, alongside mint and wet soil, the wine is tasty and makes me smile.
Fine tannins that are a non-issue, more about acid backbone and food accompaniment on the finish.
    Drink now through 2024.
