November 11, 2023 - Cork was intact when opened with a sophisticated tool that combines a Teflon screw with the two cradling tongs extractor. Decanted a few minutes before service. Huge bouquet of cedar. Velvety texture. Resolved tannins. Great red color with hardly any tile hint. Deep red. On the palate the wine was balanced with black fruit and cedar. Sophisticated. Would have thought it was a 20-year old classified Bordeaux.

January 22, 2017 - Amazingly youthful. Brief notes of attic dust dissapate after 15 mins. Packed with ripe strawberry. Predictable mature notes of iron. Resembles a 15 year old sangiovese. Acid streak. Great with food. 1+ hour decant advised.

December 16, 2015 - Ifune in NYC (Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse, NYC): This displace some cinnamon and other spice notes, but the fruit was almost non-existent. This seemed brothy, stewed, lactic and had hint of volatile acidity. A flawed bottle.

March 16, 2013 - Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Stewy, off balance, hopefully a flawed bottle, but quite possibly just well past its peak.
