September 7, 2007 - Rich, alcoholic nose full of dark fruits, spice, and leather. Deep ruby in color, quite opaque, very dark. Rich, smooth mouth of blackberries, strawberries, plums, cloves, and leather. Such a lovely wine.

February 19, 2007 - Rich texture and body; smoked fruit, oak; jammy.

January 26, 2007 - Nose shows a lot of anise over some earthy tones and raisins - slight perfumed edge to it overall with some heat. Lightly charred dark fruits on the palate, nice mid-palate of smooth fruit, integrated (and plentiful) tannins, and a rather long finish. Opens up well after about an hour.
