March 2, 2019 - Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind New World Pinot Noir (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Double blind in New World Pinot Noir tasting. Good balance, but also lacking freshness, so past its peak, even with its good weight.

June 14, 2011 - Contrary to my expectations, this wine has held up surprisingly well is drinking quite nicely now. Delicate, fruity notes of cranberries, blood oranges, and dried orange peel, with hints of sandalwood, crushed minerals, and oyster shell. Tangy on the palate with a tart citrus-laden acidity. Hard to imagine a Pinot from Paso aging this gracefully, but to its credit, it has. Very well done! 90-91 points.

October 13, 2006 - Initial tart cranberry and pomegranate fruit give way to subtle raspberry, bing cherry, and strawberry flavors. A bit hollow in the midpalate and the finish is thin. Lacking in acidity as well. As I was finishing my last glass, however, the wine really started to open up. A good pinot to go with food. Drink now, as I don't think it's going to get much better.
