August 13, 2016 - A private lunch (Restaurant Relae *, Copenhagen, Denmark): A rare wine: only 933 bottles produced. A blend of Malvasia and Moscato, bottle fermented, 12% ABV. Cloudy, fine bubble, looks like a wheat beer without the head (or a Bellini, if you prefer); yeasty and estery nose, peach and muscat; wheat beer palate, slightly sweet, but with a piercing acidity reminiscent of old-style Gueuze (Cantillon, Vandervelden); yeast and green apple finish, noticeable skin polyphenols, good length. It is natural, it is drinkable, one glass is fun.
