December 14, 2017 - I really like Auchentoshan - might be my favorite distillery, but this Old Particular version is a bit awkward compared to the regular bottlings; I prefer the regular bottlings.

January 31, 2017 - I really like this distillery, having had the Cadenhead '15 and regular 18 bottling before. This '18 has a more edgy high note compared to the regular '18 but is way cheaper. It really has the Auchentoshan character though - rambunctious, meaty and nutty - facinating really.

November 21, 2016 - Knowing that this is without peat and sherry, I was expecting this to be an elegant dram. Not really. It's got a big spiciness. I guess it's from the virgin oak barrel. Wow, really spicy. I like it.
