August 14, 2022 - Consumed over about 10 days with a variety of foods. My first thought was that it decidedly past it but thne it opened up to strawberry and mint and my opinion changed! I think I probably paid about £14 for it and by the end of it I really wished I had bought more!

April 19, 2022 - Barbaresco styled. Vivid. We paused and took special note of the wine. And then it was gone!

April 19, 2018 - Pale garnet leaning toward brick. Forward nose with tart strawberries, orange skin, char, and some floral notes. Medium body, high acidity, and fairly high tannin balanced with sweet cranberries and spice. Long leathery finish showing noticeably high alcohol, but not harsh. Simple, yet well-rounded Nebbiolo for the price.

April 1, 2018 - A Barbaresco-styled wine in a lighter, easier-drinking package. Red fruit, violets on the nose. Medium to medium (+) acidity. medium (+) tannins. The alcohol is high at 14% but seems a little lower. Made with declassified 100% Nebbiolo from this Barbaresco vineyard, this sees no oak. Overall, this is a very well-balanced, killer value. Who would have thought you could have a Nebbiolo daily-drinker? Almost too good to be true.

March 13, 2018 - Declassified Barbaresco Martinenga. Pure and delicate Nebbiolo aromas. Clean, vivid and structured on the palate. Good intensity too.
