  July 29, 2023 - Brought to our house by a good friend and decanted, then tasted over several hours. 14.6% Labeled ABV. Dense dark garnet crimson. Nose is lightly floral with sweet spices and seems pretty oak influenced. Palate dominated by oak influences, chalky, pastey, and pretty bitter. Fruit seems hidden. Quite pedestrian for such an expensive wine. Alcohol seems a good bit higher than the stated level. Has that Napa Cult Cab “sameness” I dislike in Modern versions. I’ve had better red wines for $20. Sad from an excellent vintage and someone who should know how to make a better wine for the price! I don’t see this getting appreciably better as it is already a bit unbalanced.

  December 11, 2018 - Good. Finish is a bit hot. Red and black fruits on the palate. Not tannic. Drink now. Not a great qpr. Better in this price range.
