July 5, 2021 - This wine for me has a big range. 92-95+. This wine super tannic and austere at first and takes some coaxing to show anything. After lots of air and double decanting brings out a array of flavors and shows all its promise for the future. Burghound says 2040 plus drinking window. I can see this! This wine is massive and super coiled. Needs time for sure but I can see the potential but only time will tell. Holding my 6 bottles.

September 9, 2019 - 93+ today, will merit a much higher rating in the future - everything is there.

June 12, 2019 - Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Expressive nose displaying intense ripe black and red fruit, blackberry concentrated, black cherry, raspberry, lavender, caramel, a hint of mint, baking spices, charred rare steak and mineral. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of concentrated black fruit, dense, unctuous, silky, medium acidity, medium mineral and a long concentrated black cherry and blackberry driven finish with lavender and caramel at the end. This is very ripe and rich. Although enjoyable with the opulent primary fruit, this can easy improve for three decades or more.

January 5, 2019 - New Year's Champagne Madness (Casa Gill): Fantastic and utterly charming. Gorgeous red fruit and spice mix on the nose. Great acidity and fruit on the palate. Rustic tannin on the finish, but not distracting given the fruit.

September 19, 2018 - My second favorite in my wine club's tasting of '15 Red Burgundy, just behind the Rossignol Trapet Chapelle Chambertin. Initially not forthcoming, but gained complexity in the glass. Superb balance. Huge upside potential. Let this one sleep in your cellar.
