March 21, 2020 - Has a great mouthfeel, very viscous. Good concentration of fruit, opened for an hour before tasting. Held over into the next day well without pumping.

January 25, 2020 - Nose benefits greatly from aeration. Give it a bit of time. Herby, meaty nose. First tastes were a bit bitter, but after 30 minutes it was great. Strong fruit concentration.

(Idilico Graciano Reserva) Hello friends. Three new wines today from one of the most consistently-thrilling lineups in Washington right now: the wonderful Spanish varieties from Javier Alfonso’s Idilico. We have new-release Albarino and Garnarcha, as well as a bonus offer of his 2013 Reserve Graciano As a reminder, Javier developed Idilico as a sister label to Pomum Cellars, his main label, to highlight Spanish varieties grown in Washington. (He is is also responsible for our list-favorite house label, Temporal Tempranillo.) These wines are rarely submitted for review, but even without the critics weighing in, the label has developed serious buzz, spurred on by the sommelier set and other insider types who know value when they see it.
