  March 22, 2017 - Another dark, cool-fruited wine from Parpette - darker than I remember of the 2014 Montmain. Beautifully aromatic with blue-black fruit, faint herbal/spicy liqueur, and a clear brett topnote that adds complexity. The wine has a sinewy texture with excellent poise and extraction, a dance of spices, and a wild and gamey note from the brett. With air the wine firms up and becomes more savory, with fine-grained tannins clipping the finish.
  
  Again I am surprised by how ripe and dark these wines are, more like the profile of a wine from further south, but the profile and texture are all Cote-Rotie. I confess that they are not exactly what I am looking for from the appellation, but I can't deny that they are very delicious.

  January 21, 2017 - Marché aux Vins d'Ampuis 2017; 1/20/2017-1/22/2017 (Ampuis): Sur le Plomb, il y a aussi Gaillard, Villard, Rostaing, Cuilleron, Pichat.
  Couleur : Robe rouge sombre d’une belle intensité.
  Nez riche, pur et net sur un côté coulis/crème de fruits (mûre, prune, framboise noire) et des notes réglissées.
  Bouche : Entrée pleine, ronde et juteuse. Corps normal (+) développant, sur une trame soyeuse, un fruit très gourmand et opulent mais ceci reste équilibré; arômes de mûres, d’épices et de notes florales. Finale d’une assez belle longueur.
  Note : 16,25-16,5/20 (91-92/100)
