November 10, 2021 - Ripe blackberries, strawberries, and spice on the nose. Blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, spice, fresh herbs, leather, tar. Complex and nicely balanced. This wine is probably peaking now. Drink up.

November 23, 2019 - Decanted and drank over eight hours

Medium bodied. Translucent burgundy in color
Red fruit, candy apple, red licorice nose. Some floral notes.
Youthful, exuberant, tons of red fruit, some tar on the back end
Medium plus finish. Relatively soft. Nicely balanced. Approachable now, but would probably score higher with 3-5 more years under its belt. Good stuff.

May 7, 2017 - Decanted for 1 hour and drank over a meal of sprialized squash, meatball with tomato mushroom sauce with capers, toasted almonds, garlic and topped with fresh basil and Parmesan. Medium bodied plum colored with balanced tannin and acidity. More spice than fruit. Opened a little but still early. May have eased the next day, but did not last that long.

June 23, 2016 - Medium bodied, fresh, round, polished, stylish Chateauneuf du Pape that is filled with ripe, juicy, sweet, cherries, kirsch and licorice in the rich finish. Even though this is already drinking well, you can easily keep this for several years. The wine was made from a blend of 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre. A top wine for the vintage from Philippe Cambie.
