June 12, 2018 - WSET Level 2 Prep Group; 6/5/2018-9/4/2018 (Albert's Apartment): Good Bordeaux for $16.99 at Costco, deep ruby in color. On the nose it's lighter than you might expect but smells wonderful! Notes of plum, tobacco, toasted fruit, raspberry, vanilla, leather, raisin, and chocolate. On the palate, its dry with medium acidity, medium body, and medium, softer tannins. It's not as flavorful as it should be as it's a but young, should get better with a few years' age. You'll get flavors of leather, raspberry, cooked plum, dark chocolate, and white pepper. Medium length finish. I would buy again but definitely wait at least a year to drink.
