January 8, 2023 - It has certainly been a number of years since I last had this 1er Cru f Dom Louis Michel; always enjoyed it young so was excited to have this with some age. And it has undeniably aged substantially. Emerging golden in glass, charming viscosity. Nose brings deep petroleum, super ripe fruit - tropical, peach, yellow apples, candied lemon. Palate is chewy & medium+-bodied, flavours echoing nose with considerable rich & ripe fruit, pineapples, honey & hints of minerality. Acidity fatigue. Bitter-sweet, brief finish. Drink now.

December 11, 2022 - Bright gold.
This has continued to flesh out more with time. Quite rich bitter apple rind and lemon notes make this feel more CdB than Chablis.
Significant phenolic bitterness in the finish.
