  November 19, 2022 - 90 min double decant. Very very deep ruby magenta color. Cherry pie, sage, and graphite on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate, with cottony acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.
  
  My nose notes don’t do this justice. Smells like a bake shop in a good way. There is little evidence of age. Mark1NPT was kind enough to bring this to a dinner at HMC’s home this evening. Great wine night.

  November 19, 2022 - Given an 80 minute decant before going back into the bottle to take over to the HMCs for our last Agelvis dinner of the weekend. Ready almost from the pnp, very soft, very red fruited. Getting another 2-3 hours of air, it turns darker and puts on some weight. The nose improves significantly with perfumed graphite and earthy notes. This seems to be a very sneaky classic wine. It flies under the radar sneaking around the glass to your palate. Deceptive, if you will. Wouldn't be hard to give it a 96 with a little more air but all of a sudden the bottle is gone..

  gentle mouthfeel, super silky. Needs about 4 hours of decant. really fine stuff.

  May 11, 2020 - Decanted for 1+ hour, Loved it, had it side by side with a 99 Dominus which was flat and not very good, made the already Carter seem even better.
