February 18, 2024 - Une couleur foncée, des parfums de syrah fumée, en bouche peu d'acidité, des tanins assez fins et soyeux et de beaux parfums, une belle longueur. Un très joli vin, très agréable.

October 12, 2023 - Imaginative wine, powerful yet fragile, complex yet direct. Beautiful bottle. Hints of spices, an almost roasted peppery note. Animal scents, crunchy bacon, old wood, undergrowth. The fruit comes afterward with its violet and blood-like pulpiness. Beautiful final balsamic tone of eucalyptus. Great persistence and balance on the palate. Wow.

Vino immaginifico, potente ma fragile, complesso ma diretto. Bellissima bottiglia. Sentori di spezie, un pepato quasi arrostito. Profumi animali, bacon croccante, legno vecchio e sottobosco. Il frutto arriva dopo con la sua polposità violacea ed ematica. Bellissima la tonalità balsamica finale di eucalipto. Grande persistenza ed equilibrio in bocca. Wow

May 23, 2022 - Old School, crushed Kalamata olive, leather, and Hints of sweet barnyard. If there’s fruit here its buried underneath all this. Bone dry and dense, the flavor/color brown comes to mind, there is a creaminess but, the tannic frame is so pronounced along with the taste of dried twigs, crushed walnut shells and wet gravel. it’s hard to detect any sense of tree or bush fruit. Acidity is well judged. The finish has a spicy herbal tannic bitterness. Wondering if there is a high percentage of press juice here. This is the type of wine where for me the first glass is interesting but, the second not so much. This probably needs another 5-10 years in a cold cellar. Purchased upon release and stored accordingly… …Na zdrowie

March 21, 2022 - Some ripening dark fruit and raw meat juice in a rustic style.

June 25, 2021 - Really destination: ”savoury county” now, but also very typical saint-joe for my money. Loads of meat, olive broth, salty, black currant notes. Not sure if I’m more discerning now or if it was actually better three years back when I gave it a 92.
