rating this relative to Zins and this one is awesome. 7 years since picked and it is just about peaking. Decanted and made small pours, swirling and inhaling before each sip. Great, dark fruit vapor as the alcohol whaft carries it out of the glass. Again, dark purple fruit and cassis preserve syrup coats the palate and finishes with soft round delicious tannins. June 6, 2021 - Based on the bottle I had almost 2 weeks ago, I thought it best to drink these up. Opened, poured and let sit 45 min. Then, some reddish fruit nose and definite red fruit taste that carried through the finish. Not much complexity, but nice red fruit freshness; maybe the acidity kept it going. Good balance; tannin not an issue. Not quite there, but closer to my idea of zin taste. Day 2: Still has the red fruit from start to finish, although a bit more diffuse and lighter; and taste doesn't change - for better or worse. Still a nice wine.
