February 17, 2024 - Brought to the table by Dan last night.....3 hour decant then slow ox'd for another 3 through our event.

Medium dark garnet in the glass. Perfumy nose with cherry Icee slushee notes. Pillowy soft in the mouth, fluffy I think someone said? Thinner, lighter in weight than some of the other cabs here at the table tonight. It was kind of grenache-y to me at the start, improved through the night. The feel of it is that it's older than it is. This sort of confirms our suspicions now that extended barrel aging seems to impart a 'more advanced' feel to the wine. Makes it seem older than the stated vintage in some ways, if that makes sense? A very nice wine but quite the tariff for it. Thanks for opening/sharing, Dan!

March 21, 2021 - Meetup at Eddie Ishaq's (Eddie's Crib): I really didn't want to like this wine mostly for reasons surrounding price increases and other less wine driven issues with HA.
But the wine really showed well. It was fresh and lively while being complex and layered.
Dark cola cherries and anise as well as pretty floral accents that were unique.
The palate was in perfect harmony even at this young stage.
Medium plus body while I still don't think this is worth $500+ it showed very well tonight and may only slightly change the way I see HA wines....but just the wines.

November 21, 2020 - Another black fruit, complex Cabernet with layers of red cherry, black raspberry and red currant. Sweet floral aromas and some licorice on the nose. Tasty minerality that is typical of Hundred Acre wines with a long silky finish. Decant at least 3 hours as the wine might overwhelm your taste buds right from the bottle.

May 6, 2019 - 48 months in barrel, on its lees, that’s the deep time-ishness. I mean, very expressive at the get go. Lots of root beer up front. And this one carries the structure (and a little bit of everything) over the 2014 Wraith, which at 40m, feels a completely different wine. Which it is.
