November 17, 2023 - Quite fully tasty. Still tannic and somewhat structured.

July 27, 2023 - Same as the bottle back in March. Dark fruit, tart and somewhat citrusy, some charred steak. Bottle open for two days and virtually unchanged. Very food friendly.

March 4, 2023 - Definitely not your typical New World fruit bomb high alcohol overripe syrah! My first opened of 7 bottles, this was unique, complex, and tart/tasty, and it went well with food. I didnt decant but the bottle was open for @45 minutes before the first pour. It didn’t come across as tannic (though I’m sure they’re there), and it showed almost citric tartness, with hints of pepper, dark chocolate, and charred steak, plus a plummy finish. I’m thinking this’ll be one of those cellar wines that I’ll drink maybe one of per year.

January 23, 2023 - Dark ruby with garnet edges. Complex nose of dark plums, prunes, a hint of tart rasberry, black pepper, tobacco, and roses, with a deft touch of charred oak. Precise cut of silky dark and red fruit on the palate, medium plus acids, fine grained tannins, low to medium alcohol (12.9%), long finish, Beautifully austere and balanced with a lovely freshness.

November 20, 2022 - In my cellar since release, from 500 ml bottle, decanted for 2 hours before tasting over several more. 12.9% ABV. This is a beautiful old world style Syrah with bright red fruit, game meat notes and lots of peppery aromatics. Palate is mouthwatering with acidity and very long on the finish. This was really impressive with more bottle age and was great with a truffle agnolotti with butter, mushrooms and sage. It really made the truffle elements “pop”. Complex and balanced. Can’t wait to see how this continues to improve over time from 3 different format bottles.
