November 28, 2020 - Needed surprising an hour of air in a glass before it opened up. Nice earthy cherry juice. Good quality and classic style.

February 22, 2018 - A friend ordered this from off the list at L'angolo in Montalcino; we both agreed that checking in on a rosso from this vintage, from a quality producer was a worthwhile endeavor. It was, and it wasn't. This seems to be at its peak with little chance for improvement. There's some structure here, in the modest sense, and good purity. Good with our food, to be sure, but would have preferred their (current release) 2105, instead. Quality producer, small production. Good+ in the context of the vintage, its age, and the fact that it's a rosso wine. Drink now, or in the next few years. 14,0% abv.

August 25, 2017 - Deep red color wine with dry notes and little residual sugar notes. Presence of oak and tannin are noticeable. Easy drinking with plenty of complexity.
