September 7, 2018 - Exceptional depth to the mid-palate combined with a deft touch of orchard fruits and just enough mineral influence make this a wonderfully in-balance example currently. Plenty of power and in general drinking so well considering how premoxed this vintage has been. Exceptional juice.

March 13, 2017 - medium gold, lots of clarity, silvery hue
Nose: pear, apple, lemon, sea salt, minerals, white pepper, chalk, musk, chives, honey, butter, clove, flowers
Pal: pear, apple, lemon, sea salt, minerals, white pepper, wax, chalk, tarragon, musk, pine wood, chives, touch oak
    Feel: medium, full, structured, acidic
    Finish: long
    TC9 (could be an 8)

October 7, 2016 - Very nice. This wine has the power of the vintage with the fresh acidity and complexity that all great white burg needs. Drink now or hold 5y

August 12, 2016 - The 2005 Le Cailleret is in a very attractive place right now, combining fresh stone fruit and floral aromatics with aged notes of truffle, earth, and spice. Still very energetic on the palate, with great acidity, intensity, and a medium weight. This wine has the bones to age positively for many more years but is stunning today.
