February 12, 2019 - This was a spontaneous purchase, and I had it last night with your basic steak, potatoes and Brussel sprouts. It paired decently.

    For the wine...

The wine was clear with a medium intensity ruby with garnet tones and minimal watery meniscus. There was no gas or sediment. The wine is fluid and has medium(-) legs after swirling.

On the nose, the wine is clean with medium intensity aromas of plum, red cherries, vanilla, spices, toast and hints of dust, forest floor and leather. Possibly some tobacco, but I'm not a big cigar smoker.

On the palate, the wine is dry with solid plum and dark cherry flavors. The oak is balanced. The wine has medium acidity, medium(+) tannins and medium alcohol. The body is medium to full. The finish is medium to long.

This was a great wine, and it could easily stand alone without food. Glad I have another bottle!

January 21, 2018 - Lovely black fruit aromas of cherry and blackberry together with some spice. More black fruits on the palate together with a lovely creamy vanilla flavour from the oak. Still very fresh and no doubt will develop in the coming years if you can hold off.

June 26, 2017 - Sappy raspberry fruit with a nice core of coarse tannin. Young, bright, and enjoyable, but without a lot of distinction. Better on night 2.
