December 8, 2023 - So far, the third best Walla Walla Cab I have tried. I am a huge fan of Napa Cab, so it is a high bar. First place is still a 20 year old Leonetti reserve, just an incredible bottle of wine. Second place is a bottle of Corliss tasted side by side with the Leonetti. Third is this bottle from House of Smith. Had a gamey nose with some blueberries. Almost a quality of a turkey leg. Resolved with light tannins on the mouth feel. Feel like this is drinking at peak or slightly past, but drink now if you have the bottle!

May 29, 2023 - Outstanding red blend from K Vintner. 80% Cab, 20% syrah, 100% delicious. Black berry, cassis and some serious olive tapenade from the syrah. Plus violets, minerals, tar, smoke, notes of cedar and some cigar box. A ton of fun! Silky, sweet tannins hold it all together. It's drinking very nicely now. Personally, I wouldn't wait much longer. It will hang on for a while, but I doubt it will get much better. It is singing right now!

June 5, 2022 - Impeccably made, with everything in its place and balanced. A different experience from the first bottle opened some 4 years ago. The nose initially reveals earthy notes of dark fruit, graphite, herbs, and a hint of cedar. It is big and rich in the mouth, good acidity, and long on the finish. It opened up further after 2-3 hours of air to reveal more red, cherry fruit on the nose, with anise emerging with more time. It is even bigger in the mouth at this point, leaving a blend of red and dark fruits flavors cascade over the palate which morphs into a super long, explosive finish leaving notes of roasted game. Of the 2014s from K, this is currently among the best! Drinking great now but can certainly go a few more years.

December 1, 2021 - Lovely balance, not jammy or over-oaked, unabashedly new World and delicious.

March 20, 2021 - I'm not easy on 95 scores (Flaccianello and Muga Prado Enea come to mine) but this wine is outstanding.
Nose suggests powerful fruit already a few minutes after opening the bottle. Syrah-driven raspberry notes dominate moderately.
Mouth continues that sentiment: Balanced but fruit-forward. Lingers on long.
We drank this around 15° Celsius, imagine it can be too powerful when much warmer. Quite impressed, even if priced according to quality.
