December 29, 2022 - Slightly over the top. Still kinda enjoyable

September 24, 2015 - Big SA red - very conventional style - high extract - high al.

February 14, 2013 - Popped and poured. Still holding strong. A definite sense of age on the nose, but in the glass it still holds a solid red colour. Very happy with this wine, I could drink it by the bucket load. This is my penultimate bottle.

February 1, 2012 - Slight bricking to the rim, but surprisingly dark in the wine body still. No SA smokeyness, cedar dominant on the nose, needed 3 hours in the decanter, opened up nicely, full palate and good length of finish - the initial plumpness of the fruit has gone and left more complex fig and brown fruits. The wine still has considerable power and is by no means over, fully mature and probably at its peak.

June 24, 2011 - a very good example of a south african cab...nice fruit and good acidity give it a very nice balance. very drinkable.
