Community Tasting Notes 3

November 8, 2021 - Just drinkable on pop n' pour, though it fades quickly with oxidation overwhelming the remaining fruit.

November 8, 2021 - Monday Night Football and Grand Cru (Chicago, IL): Oxidized. Perhaps drinkable, but far more apple cider on the nose than pleasant.

  • Matt Neel Likes this wine:

June 3, 2014 - Birth-year Wines at Bacchanal (SoHo, NYC): Gold, with orange on the meniscus. A very deep, even bewitching, nose reveals orange blossom, caramel, and an edge of premature oxidation (though at this stage it doesn’t really detract from the bouquet); regal and remote. The palate is rich and creamy, crème brûlée, with a heady piña colada-like blend of coconut and pineapple; the ripeness leans in for a hot kiss but doesn’t quite place it, fortunately. Good, but not great, length. All in all, this is a little oxidized but is also very pleasurable and delicious. Drink.
