February 15, 2018 - Clear deep garnet with no rim browning. BlackBerry pie, menthol, bramble. Low acids, low tannins. Plum. Short balanced finish. Bottle at 335.

September 27, 2017 - This is a monster wine that is a bit too fruity for my tastes. However, it is balanced and well made; just not my Zin style.

September 9, 2017 - Very rich mouthfeel. Flavors of fruit and spice, just the right amount of tannin. Nice finish. Completely delicious wine. Drinking very well right now.

October 30, 2016 - Some Blind Cali Reds: Vibrant purple color. Smells of black cherry and blackberry jam topped with roasted coffee, cocoa powder, vanilla and dark chocolate shavings. Full-bodied, chewy tannins, low acidity, this is a concentrated wine loaded with saucy blackberries and black cherry compote. The fruit is laced with roasted chestnut, coffee, charcoal, vanilla cola and some pepper. High octane stuff but highly delicious as well. Includes 18% Petite Sirah, this is aged in three- and four-year-old French, American and Hungarian oak.
