May 16, 2020 - Red fruit on nose, perhaps some herb as well. Not overly structured, still enough backbone to support the food. It was lovely with the pork loin, brined and then salt and pepper rub smoked for several hours. The wine did a lovely job adding flavor and depth. It was almost like a sauce or condiment in the way that it added fruitiness and perhaps a touch of Cedar box on the Finish.

The wine evolved beautifully over the course of a couple hours. Would not let it stand for much longer than that, and my entirely uneducated and inexperienced palette suggest that this wine is at or near its peak. Does not seem likely to improve with more age.

November 6, 2017 - Soft purple color w/aromatic nose on initial pour. Fragrant nose of plums. Fair legs. Flavor of plums w/soft acidity. Nice finish. Very enjoyable wine.

May 29, 2017 - Vinosphere (Town Hall, Sydney): slightly more red than black fruit, spice, slight stalks. Juicy with coffee and red currant, it's a little short and, perhaps a touch sour for me.

April 8, 2017 - Sydney Satellite Burgundy Tasting 2017 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Dusty with coffee and strawberry underpinned by muted black fruits. Slight toast. In the mouth it's juicy, tightly tannic with savoury fruit. Medium plus length. Nice.

September 17, 2016 - Domaine Collotte - Marsannay: Lovely spice, roses, herbs and cherries on the nose. Bright and crisp palate with dusty acidity. Tart red cherries and currants sing nicely alongside the spice and herbal notes.
