November 15, 2016 - The wine is Clear with Medium Ruby color. Nose: the wine is Clean , with Medium intensity. There's hints of Black Fruits, Spices. Palate: the wine is Dry, with Medium Acidity, Medium - Tannins and is Medium bodied. On Palate, there's also hints of Black Fruits, blackcurrant, blackberry, Red Fruits, rasberry, white pepper. Finish /Length is rather Medium +. Conclusions: the wine is very good. 85-89

October 5, 2016 - Piedmont Trip, Day 6- Pira e Figli, Marcarini, Vietti (Barolo, Piemont, Italy): Nose: The nose is balanced with red cherries, spice tones, red berries, leather, and some herbs. There is medium depth to the nose, but it is a little lacking.
Taste: Full bodied with medium+ acidity and medium tannins. The tannins are in the supporting category with red cherries, spice tones, herbs, and a touch of green notes.
Overall: This is a well balanced and easy drinking Barbera d'Alba. It does lack some depth and it thins out somewhat on the palate, but on the whole, it is enjoyable and perfect with food.
