Community Tasting Notes 8

December 21, 2018 - Pretty decent drinking wine for the price. Of course I had it at 9$ closeout. Easy drinking. Nice fruit. Smooth. Not a lot of dimension. Minor tannins.

February 10, 2018 - This was a gift. From a 375ml. Used as a cooking wine (for the chef not the food).

Opened not decanted. Very young. Tart dark cherry and darker plum raspberry / blackberry on the entry. Hollow middle from youth; ends with a dry black cherry and orange juice finish. Well balanced. Could be quite good with air and or age. Good +

January 13, 2018 - For a $ 9 wine this is certainly acceptable. Blackberry, boysenberry notes on the nose. Medium body, some spice. Admittedly I have a cold so my taste buds are off but I would buy it again.

December 19, 2017 - Mellow, lighter cab that makes a good table wine, even for non-cab drinkers. Still has some good dark fruit, but tannic structure is certainly subdued. For $13 on sale, I'd buy it again.

December 8, 2017 - From Monterey County (AVA) California, The Hahn Cabernet Sauvignon shows a nice medium ruby color and exposes its aromas of black raspberry, dark skin plum and a subtle touch of tobaco, dark chocolate and oak. Those fresh aromas repeat themselves into the palate; dark fruit tobaco and oak expose the richness of the wine. This wine will please by its balanced acidity and tannin and warm the wine lover with its full body.
I much enjoyed the wine. This sipper will pair well with cured meat in front of the fireplace.
