November 6, 2022 - Tasted a 2021 bottling. Dried apricots, caramel, and citrus notes with a 'singing' acidity. Love it!

October 15, 2022 - Sammamish Port Club - October 2022 (Seattle, Washington): Dark brown-amber in color. Some light vinagrinho and some woody aromas. Smooth flavor profile on the entry with rich waves of chocolate and root beer on the palate. Very long finish with good complexity and richness.

October 1, 2022 - 2022 Port Harvest Tour; 9/22/2022-10/2/2022 (Porto, Portugal): Bottled in 2021. It has 144 grams per liter of sugar and 4.10 acidity. It is golden-yellow in color and has aromas of dried nuts, nutmeg, light herbal notes, cigar box, and a touch of spirit. Its viscosity and depth create a complex mix of flavors on the palate, including burnt sugar, orange spices, candied walnuts, and cocoa powder. The richness and complexity of this wine extend from mid-palate to a very long finish.

March 5, 2022 - Forty Year Old Face-Off (Sammamish, Washington): Bottled in 2015. Amber-brown in color. Toasted coconut and some light wood notes on the nose. Very smooth approach with some nice acidity and notes of well-integrated caramel, honey, and orange spice.

November 29, 2021 - 40 YO Tawny Vertical: Wild and very intense nose. Very concentrated sweetness on the palate but still combined with a high acidity.
Lots of caramel and sweet vanilla. It is a sweet style but I simply adored it. For me, the best of the 40 Tawnies in the line-up. Stunning wine!
