March 24, 2024 - Vi finner modne aromaer som aprikos, mandler, hasselnøtter, honning og butterscotch, vinen er dypere med friskere syre, flott strukturert. Moussen var fortsatt fin-fin, men ikke så livlig, uten at den var slapp. Nydelig munnfølelse, flott dybde og lengde. Dette var en skamløst digg vin!
Druene kommer fra 7-8 parseller i Cramant med øst/sørøst eksponering. Vinen er fermentert i eik uten malo eller filtrering og dosage er 3-5g/l. Cuveen lages kun i gode årganger. -

WOW, vilken upplevelse! En fantatastisk champagne som sannolikt bara blir bättre och bättre med mer tid... passar absolut bäst i stora kupor!!
Inköpt i mars 2018
Chardonnay 100%
Dosage 4.5g
Enbart druvor från Cramant och från stockar som är mellan 50-65 år gamla
Lagrad 6 månader i gamla ekfat
Därefter 8 år på flaska

January 27, 2024 - Gets better with some air, quite complex and has slightly mature notes. Better to start drinking now.

I have a weakness for champagne vintage 2008.

August 17, 2023 - 2008 Champagne - 25 top names tasted blind: Expressive Nose of citrus, noticeable oak, butter scotch, herbal greens, some advanced cooked butter notes as well. The palate is powerful with strong acidity in line of the 2008 vintage. Somehow I find the advanced notes combined with the tightness of the acidity a difficult riddle to solve how this will age further. At the moment the elements are not harmonious yet. I will wait a few more years before opening the next 08 of this Cuvée.
