April 22, 2020 - We are not pinot drinkers and we loved this one. Has more structure and complexity than most pinots. None of that floral, strawberry thing.

November 24, 2019 - Classic RRV Pinot. Just a touch of sweet with bright red fruit flavors, spicey, smooth, elegant.
Drinking beautifully today but will hold for a few years. Just not sure waiting for further development is worth the risk of possibly losing those bright fruit flavors.
Gave it one hour of air and it was good to go.

March 29, 2019 - Deep ruby, almost garnet color. Very masculine Pinot Noir. Heavy body for this varietal. I actually preferred it on day two after it had completely opened up.

January 12, 2019 - The 2014 La Pommeraie has been a consistent and great vintage.

Bright ruby red with good clarity. Aroma's of red cherry, spices and red currents.

Lighter body with balanced acid, tannin and alcohol. Bright juicy red fruits, smooth mouth feel and a finish of spices with good hang time.

April 20, 2018 - Loads of red fruit, and less dark fruit lends to the more elegant and lively mouthfeel. There’s an acid bite on the front, and a cocoa powder finish on the back end that lingers a long time. Drinking well now, and should continue for the rest of 2018. A one hour decant will help open it up, as it is somewhat closed straight out of the bottle.

April 17, 2018 - A concentrated torrent of flavor and intensity, this stunning Pinot was decanted for three hours. Wonderfully vibrant and alive, the finish sails on for awhile and fruit is elegant throughout all of the intensity. Cranberry, pomegranate, red currant, dried earth after a long Summer and a light touch of chipotle. Destined to be cellared. Drink 2019 - 2029.
