Community Tasting Notes 7

April 3, 2011 - Past its prime, at least this bottle. Orange around the edge. Sharp and short

September 25, 2010 - Very enjoyable. Complex nose with layers of red and black ruit but also secondary notes. Silky tannins and balanced of fruit with spices and alcohol content. Ready to drink but could wait a couple more years maybe.

August 5, 2010 - Drank at Christian Etienne Restaurant, Avignon, France. Very smooth... getting better per glass

May 15, 2010 - This has held up remarkably well, the nose is a little funky, but mellows a short time after pouring. A lot of tannins have solidified, and the bottle needed standing upright for a good 24 hours before pouring. Black cherries, and leather tastes, nice bright dark colour still.

December 13, 2002 - I first tasted this on September 19, 2001, and then found it to be tough as nails, with sweet fruit and licorice all buried under rough tannins, and with a hint of beef jerkey aromas. I also questioned its balance. A year and a half later, the near luscio
