November 19, 2022 - Dark ruby color with the last hints of purple. Very aromatic right out of the bottle. Chocolate. Leather. Dark Cherry. Blackberry. Bit of butter / oak. Wet stone. Subtle dill / olive notes. Fruit more forward on the palate. Medium body. Balanced tannin / acidity. Delicious.

Later a bit less balanced. Acid strong. A bit of acetone / petrol note on the nose.

Delicious now, but expect it to get better with the year. Will wait at least 5 years for the next.

January 1, 2021 - Fantastic Brunello. Needed time in the decanter—actually double decanted it for 2 hours. Lively and bright initially but tannins softened over the evening. Paired with sausage fennel meatballs and tomato pasta shells. Great combo to dissipate the early heat and acid. Medium garnet color, dried figs, tobacco, cacao and stewed cherries comes to mind but less sweetness or fruit forward expression. There was an over arching balance on the palate. Great expression of Brunello

April 28, 2020 - Distinctive nose. Ripe raspberries, cherries, a touch of wet tobacco and some dark chocolate on the palate. Nice acidity and beautiful soft tannins. Very complex and balanced. Medium to full bodied. Long savory finish.
This feels not like a classic BdM, more like a modern interpretation of it. But nevertheless it’s an excellent wine which is highly enjoyable in the moment and will last for another 6-8 years.

August 4, 2019 - This is right in the sweet spot of its drinking window. Savory notes on the nose of leather, earth and cooking spices. The palate follows with the savory qualities, namely leather and cedar box. Medium length finish.
