August 4, 2019 - Definitely getting some orchard fruit on the nose. This wine softened up since my last tasting, shedding its pucker and picking up a little body. It has minerality, lemon, lime zest, bright fruit tucked behind a balanced structure of acid and alcohol. Perfect for the grilled lobster we had with it.

February 10, 2019 - Impressively packed with flavor and concentration in a lighter alcohol package. Citrus and ripe orchard fruit for days, with mineral accents. Delicious now, but has the balance to age.

from south-southwest facing loamy soil in Pence Ranch Vineyard, Santa Rita Hills AVA.
Vines are of average age 10 years with organic/biodynamic practices.
Manual harvest; foot pressing. Fermented in barrel for
12 days. Full malolactic on lies. Unfined, unfiltered.
12.9% Abv. 100 cases.

January 27, 2017 - Since last tasting, it got rounder and filled out. Still has a lemon curd note, but its softer and less zingy. I love the salinity and oyster shell component here. One of my favorite chardonnays.
