December 3, 2023 - Decanted for several hours then consumed over the next three. Finally beginning to display its pedigree, this bottle has lost its baby fat delivering medium weight and an understated sense of class. It still feels like there is more to come.

July 27, 2022 - This Syrah dominant blend was a perfect pairing to Iranian food

May 21, 2022 - Opened on a whim after a very tasty Booker. Needed a long decant as just started opening up at the end of the evening.

July 1, 2021 - Decanted for 7 hours but it was not enough. These damn Paso 14's. At least another year away, this bottle was still impressive even with the showy tannin and touch of oak. It remained obese and forceful over the three hours of consumption.

This was WAY better than the previous bottle I tried, which must have been bad, over decanted or both. This was showing well right out of the bottle, with big, dark fruit, maybe a bit of baking spice, full body, and plush tannins. However, while tasty, I feel this is a simple fruit bomb and pretty boring.

If I were to score this, I'd probably score it around 91 pts or so. It's tasty enough to be pretty great, but there's not a ton to it, and I'm not sure you need to pay over $100 to get a simple, tasty, big wine. I'll hold my remaining bottle for several year in hopes it gains some complexity (or maybe I'll open it sometime for a less experienced drinker who isn't looking for complexity)
