December 4, 2017 - Opened one hour in advance. Fragrant cedar aroma. Black fruit up front, some strawberry and rhubarb in the finish. Interesting mix of glou-glou and tannins, with forward fruit flavors at the beginning and some mouth drying pucker at the end. Excellent chance that this will continue to soften and develop. Great value.

November 16, 2017 - Tasted at a Portuguese wine tasting.
Made from Alfrocheiro.
A tad disappointing. Quite full-bodied which disappears immediately in an acidic bite.
My notes: Vulgar chocolate prunes, plums, almond liqueur, plum stone and bitter marzipan. -

August 8, 2017 - Made exclusively from the Alfrocheiro grape. Deep inky purple, nose is sweet with blueberry and blackberry aromas plus mint and a dried brush, green smell. The palate is fruity on entry with blueberry and blackcurrant but with pronounced green, drying tannins. This wine needs food and/or time, not right yet.
