Community Tasting Notes 3

March 17, 2024 - Open and giving right from the pop - sweet red berries, sous bois, delicate rose petal. The palate is still very NSG (especially compared to the 02 Boudots which was Vosne-spice laden, all silk and seductive) ie a bit of iron, a bit of velveteen grip. Not nearly as complex as Boudots either, and the finish felt abrupt in comparison. This is in a slutty stage and I would pop keep popping em.

December 10, 2022 - Meo has a 0.6 ha parcel of Au Bas de Combes with 60 year old vines. It is now blended into the nego bottling. Extracted style with dark red fruit, nuts, spice, fur and grilled meat. Palate is deep and layers with tension. Punching more like a prem cru or even grand cru. Very good.
