VISUEL: Grenat au pourtour orangé...
OLFACTIF: beau fruité. Voilà un beau nez avec une certaine évolution. C'est très agréable....
GUSTATIF: Terreux. Superbe texture et des tanins bien présents mais fondus. Notes fruitées (figues et pruneaux). C'est en bouche d'une telle finesse que je n'aurais sans doute pas dit "Madiran" tout de suite.... La finale chocolat à 85% est tout à fait sublime.
ENSEMBLE: Très beau Madiran 2003 issu de Vieilles vignes. La 31e vendange ! -

March 31, 2011 - Big, monstruous and rustic. I'm in love! Earthy and velvety with thick and silky fruit. Dark red with sweet tannins. This wine has a bright minerally edge that I really like. Excellent.

January 30, 2009 - Quel monstre! mais charmant tout de même. Fruit en retrait devant la matière, imposante. Le boisé s'est bien fondu à l'ensemble, mais le tout est encore extrêmement tannique et rude, et exige l'accompagnement d'une viande saignante. À attendre idéalement encore plusieurs années.
