Community Tasting Notes 5

February 24, 2019 - Transparent with light cloudiness, light ruby. Nose cranberry, red berries, fresh with light mint note, some wildness. Palate strawberry, juicy, some orange peel, bright cranberry acidity, good with a chill. Some earthy cherries as it sits and opens up. Very nice, a lighter bodied red that has surprising depth, drinking well now with its still vibrant fruit but could see it aging almost like a rosé. 91 pts

January 14, 2018 - Previous vintages of this wine were much darker. This is almost rose like. But don't mistake the color for simplicity. This is complex and very l'anglore like - with some darjeeling ( I think the kombucha like is also appropriate), dried roses, and persistence on the palate. Super good rendition.

January 13, 2018 - Like a Jura from S Rhone with a foot in Provence. Dried noses on the nose. Tart and brambly. Definitely evolved over the evening. Tea like in mouthfeel and texture. While it may feel simple initially it is far from the case. Not a hint of "natural wine" flaws. Fascinating!

April 11, 2017 - Super gulpable. Lighter and less complex than the Tavel but with the trademark dried rose nose of L'Anglore. Almost a kombucha-like tea aspect on the palate, in a good way. Drinks great on a pop and pour, but even better on day two. Would like to see how this evolves with a little more time in the bottle.
