December 17, 2023 - Almost a year since I last tried this wine and what we get i another great bottle of Saxum. Opened 4 hours prior to dinner. The nose was red fruit and hints of chocolate. The palate was dark cherry, raspberry, fig, and chocolate leading to a finish that, as almost all Saxum wines do, went on and on and on and on.

December 11, 2023 - This wine continues to drink very well, with notes similar to my last tasting in 2020: Very concentrated with notes of ripe plum, cassis, blackberry, glycerin and hint of damp earth. A very well balanced wine with long finish and polished tannins.

October 6, 2023 - Dark fruit laced with notes of cassis, mocha, sage and cedar. Very complex along with distinct spice notes on the finish. Needs an hour to open to fully enjoy the intensity of this wine.
