August 7, 2018 - Peter Lehman Masterclass (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo): leather, earth, black pepper, sweet spice, slight sour blackberry, a little bit farty. Blackberry, plenty of tannins, black pepper and a fair lick of alcohol heat on the finish, leather, touch of coffee, though this is quite balanced and pleasant.

April 12, 2017 - Last bottle. A v mixed bag. Quite a sweet nose with some mintiness. The palate was pretty tart to start: my girlfriend refused to drink describing it as vinegar. Harsh words but with some truth. Despite the sweet entry, this was pretty acidic and perhaps rather on the decline?

February 22, 2014 - Expressive nose of blood plum, cedar, Christmas cake spice and licorice. It is sweet and dense in the mouth with powerful black fruits. It is a wine of good balance and there is crisp acidity on the finish giving the wine cut and poise. Drinking really well now but plenty left in the tank for further development.

February 8, 2014 - Was very concerned that this long forgotten bottle might be past it's prime but it is still spectacularly good! Decanted 3 hours prior to drinking. Plenty of fruit on the nose, primarily cherries, vanilla and spice, it's darker and less faded than expected for a 21 year old, a lot of tannin but quite fine grained and provides a nice structure. Amazing finish, a spicy crescendo followed by a long pleasurable fade. Alcohol is kept in check. Great stuff.

September 16, 2013 - The color is a bit of a faded brick but the nose was spot on.
