Community Tasting Notes 6

January 14, 2023 - Double decanted, tiny amount of sediment removed, consumed after an hour and was ready. Lean, dusty, dried cherries, chiselled acidity, rosemary, savoury with medium intensity and medium body. A classic expression of the place. My bottle was marked 14% Alc, not sure where other tasters got their 15% from?

March 17, 2020 - A very nice Chianti, drinking well. Nice cherry fruit, minerals, good acidity. Nice finish. The remainder of the bottle after 3 days in the fridge was better still.

September 6, 2017 - Very fragrant, red cherry, tuscan herbs, palate has softened since the last time we tasted. Fresh raspberries, impeccable balance, a lovely mineral bead running through it. Dusty tannic finish. Very elegant.

August 16, 2017 - I liked this a lot - the higher (15,0%) alcohol is not showing at all (mine was served just above cellar temp), and the body is already in a fun, tasty place. That said, there's some structure here, too, and I can see this lasting another decade pretty easily. Juicy, red>dark red fruited, with pretty leather accents, some orange peel, and a good soil base. A fun wine that will likely be drinking even better in 2-3 years. recommended+

May 29, 2017 - This a bit more fruity from the CC Riserva, oak is used in a different manner. Expressive, with lifted aromas, a bit more perfume now, but with the bottle age this will be getting only better.
