  July 7, 2023 - decanted 11 hours prior to serving and tested along the way- as is often the case with Auction Riesling, if you do not decant well in advance you will miss out on what makes these so special.
  
  lemon color starting to gold, blazing blood orange and rose petal on the nose, figs, dark berry notes, still a lot of petrol, on the palate expansive, invigorating, dark core of fruit with upward undulating waves of rose petals and cream laced with bursting capsules of blood orange, for all its grand ways this is still somewhat in hibernation and promises to explode into glory with just a few years more in the cellar.

  September 16, 2016 - Grosser Ring Versteigerung 2016 (Trier): Another impressive wine by Dr. Carl von Schubert, although I prefer his Kabi this year. Different in style...I know, I know!
