February 15, 2018 - An intriguing earthiness collides with and is overtaken by a restrained sweetness. Yes - this is much more approachable with food but don't let that scare you. Will it be better in future years? Maybe. However I'd drink now.

October 16, 2017 - PnP, with a slight chill. There's some red fruit in there, bit it was overwhelmed by a dark earthy quality, and an elevated acidity. Clearly better with food than without, but there are many better at this price level.

November 18, 2016 - Beckett Tasting Group - Nov 2016: Deep purple color. The nose was blackberry and some cherry. I got tart blackberry with an undertone of stem flavors. This had pronounced acidity, but enough fruit to keep it in balance. Would be great with a red pasta dish.
