April 21, 2024 - Cherries and earth and tannin.

Plenty about this, layers and depth and interest. In 5 years this will be great!

July 16, 2023 - Lovely. Heady smooth dark cherries, earth and pepper. Lip smacking and very enjoyable. Love this highly reliable producer.

July 29, 2021 - This has come a long way since its youth and is really tasty now! From the tannic, undrinkable monster of 4 years ago here is a supercharged Gamay which tastes like a Northern Rhône Syrah. Tons of cherries with light lingering tannins. Round and ripe but with some restraint which gives it the austerity that brings freshness despite the 14% alcohol. Reassuring that there are still producers out there who value bottle age....

May 29, 2021 - 2.5-3h air. Deep ruby color. Rhubarb and sour cherry, mushroom, olive, potting soil, white pepper on the nose. Silky and rich on the palate, medium-bodied, with fine-grained tannins providing a scaffold for the juicy red fruit on the palate. Lots of earth as well, and a peppery finish. This is still young, but has the character and depth to turn into something really special. Glad I have one more...now I just need patience!
